Republic CEO Vikas Khanchandani arrested after Arnab, Mumbai police action in TRP scam

Republic media network has been facing difficulties in the TRP scam.  Network CEO Vikas Khanchandani has been arrested by the Mumbai Police.  The arrest has been made from Khanchandani's house.  Earlier, the editor-in-chief of the Republic, Arnabar Goswami, was arrested in another case.  He is currently out on bail.  However, Arnab's name has been removed from the chargesheet filed by the police last week.  Three of the accused, including Arnav Goswami, were among the conspirators who instigated interior designer Anvay Naik in April 2018 but Arnab's name was removed by the police.

 In this suicide case, the Raigad Police of Maharashtra has filed a 1914-page charge sheet against Arnab Goswami.  Republic media network has been engulfed in frequent controversies since the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case.

 In the Anvay Naik case, Arnab was arrested by the Mumbai Police in the morning from his house last month.  He is accused of abetting this person to suicide.  At the same time, Mumbai Police Commissioner Paramvir Singh made a big disclosure about the TRP scam.

 Several Republic employees are also on the radar of the Mumbai Police in the TRP scam case.  In this regard, the Republic filed an application in the Supreme Court demanding that all FIRs against the employees be canceled and the investigation transferred to the CBI.  The hearing was denied by the court.  Apart from this, the court was asked to order not to arrest the team's editorial and other employees by the Maharashtra Police.

 According to Mumbai Police, three channels are involved in this rigging.  Which includes Republic TV, Fakt Marathi, Box Cinema.  The audience paid Rs 400-500 to watch these channels and to increase the TRP.  The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) which measures TRP has installed more than 2,000 barometers in Mumbai to measure data.  The locations where these devices are installed are confidential.esktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
