Middle East Crisis Escalates After Death of Ali Khamenei

As tensions escalate in the Middle East, the world fears growing security threats, rising energy prices, and a deepening loss of global trust.

The reported death of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, in an alleged airstrike by Israel has triggered widespread unrest across the region. The impact has been felt globally, as members of the Shia community in several countries have taken to the streets to mourn and protest.
In response, Iran launched missile strikes and multiple drone attacks targeting key American bases across the Middle East, including locations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait. Reports also suggest that Iran deployed long-range hypersonic Fattah-2 missiles against strategic infrastructure, including critical oil facilities.
The situation escalated further when Iran reportedly moved to restrict maritime traffic through the vital Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important oil shipping routes. The disruption has sparked concerns across global markets, particularly in China, which remains one of the largest buyers of Iranian oil despite international sanctions.
Iranian leadership has warned that these actions may mark only the beginning of a broader conflict, stating that “this is just the start of the war.” As tensions continue to rise, the world watches closely, fearing the economic and geopolitical consequences of a potential regional war.
